PROPOSED CHANGES IN THE SAC DECREE

To increase consumer protection and provide more security and transparency to consumer relations, the National Consumer Secretariat (Senacon) conducted, this year, a study to amend Decree 11,034/22, which regulates the SAC.

The result was the draft of a new decree, released in November. This ebook presents the main proposed changes, which include:

Expansion of the public subject to the decree, with the inclusion of non-regulated service providers;

Rules for meeting urgent demands;

Setting of service channel schedules and maximum waiting time;

Restriction on advertising during service;

Availability of integrated channels;

Accessibility rules;

Transfer limit during service;

Time to respond to demands;

Deadline for adapting to the new decree.
